How to get there

The closest International Airport is Schipol Airport in Amsterdam.

There are trains from Schipol Airport to Assen every half hour. The trip takes a bit less than two hours. There is also a small Airport in Groningen Groningen Airport Eelde. There are a few flights to/from international destinations (e.g. Copenhagen and Munich). From Airport Eelde you than can take a bus to the Groningen Hoofdstation (about 20-30 min), from there you can take a train (departures about every 15 min) to Assen (about 20 min).

From the Assen train station to the conference location public buses are available. There are two buses Qbuzz 24 and 21 (every half hour) going to the Hof van Saksen. Bus 24 stops directly at the Hof van Saksen. The stop of Bus 21 is about 15 min walk away from the conference location. All details on the bus connection (times, location of the bust stop) can be found here for Bus 24 and for both busses. You might need to adapt the date and time. If you are not coming from Assen, the 9292.nl page will show you the way via public transport.
